Your role

We are currently looking for an experienced, purpose-driven leader to oversee our sales and supply chain operations from our head office in Ghent. You bring a strong commercial mindset, a structured operational approach, and the confidence to lead in a fast-moving, international environment. This role requires someone who embraces complexity, keeps a cool head under pressure, and enjoys taking ownership in dynamic situations. Daily changes in supply or logistics of fresh perishables don’t throw you off—they motivate you to act, adapt, and deliver.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align market needs with our sourcing capabilities.
  • Lead negotiations and build strong, long-term relationships with strategic accounts.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between our commercial and supply chain teams across regions.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and resolve imbalances between sales and supply.
  • Represent FairFruit at key industry events and during field visits.
  • Lead and coach the supply chain and logistics team based in Ghent.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven background in dynamic settings; sales and operations leadership, quick decision cycles, highstakes environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen to ensure healthy gross margins.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Fluent in English. Spanish and Dutch is recommended.
  • Leadership style that combines clear direction with a coaching mindset.
  • Hands-on and pragmatic in solving problems and managing complex situations.
  • Comfortable in cross-cultural settings and international business environments.
  • Able to lead both at a strategic level and in day-to-day execution.
  • Flexible availability, including sporadic weekend follow-up.
  • Good knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel), experience in an ERP environment.

Practical information

Location: FairFruit head office in Ghent, with occasional travel to customers in Holland, UK, and US. And occasional travel to supply sites in Peru and Guatemala.
