Job description

We are a leading, dynamic meat importer.

We import high-quality meat from South America (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay) and Namibia to Europe.

Via our regular port of call in Rotterdam and our central cold store in the Netherlands, we handle distribution across the whole of Europe—from Scandinavia to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece and Germany.

We manage this entire international supply chain from our modern office in Antwerp.

As a Purchase Manager, you will be responsible for the entire procurement process: from the initial contact with the supplier to the safe arrival of the containers at the cold store. You will work closely with the Purchasing Director in this role.

Your main responsibilities:

• Procurement & Supplier Relations.
• Supply Chain & Freight Forwarding.
• Documentation & Traceability.
• Customs & Forwarding.
• Internal Coordination.

Job requirements:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business) or equivalent through experience. Strong background in logistics and commerce, and highly accurate with figures.Experience in the food industry or with reefer imports is a major plus.
• Thorough knowledge of Incoterms, customs procedures and maritime transport.
• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Knowledge of Spanish is a definite asset.
• Proactive, a problem-solver and a true team player.
