Junior Associate – Tax Advisor (Spanish speaker)

Role and Responsibilities
As a Junior Associate Tax Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting our tax team in delivering high-quality tax advice to our clients. You will work closely with senior advisors and partners, gaining exposure to a wide range of tax issues and contributing to the development of innovative tax solutions.
The key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Working on tax advisory projects for national and international clients, providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
- Identifying tax issues of clients and offering strategic advice to address these challenges effectively.
- Supporting the structuring and implementation of Luxembourg fund and corporate vehicles, ensuring tax efficiency in both Luxembourg and investee jurisdictions.
- Conducting research and analysis on tax legislation and case law to support the development of tax strategies.
- Collaborating closely with other practices within the firm and with our international offices to provide integrated and comprehensive solutions for our clients.
- Assisting in the preparation of tax returns, opinions, reports, and client presentations.
- Monitoring changes in tax regulations and assessing their impact on clients’ operations.
- Supporting the team in advising on the structuring of advisory, management fees, promote, and other management incentives.
- Being in contact with clients and their advisors, fostering strong relationships and ensuring clear communication.
- Participating in client meetings and contributing to the development of client relationships.
- Applying a commercial approach to research and evaluate relevance and accuracy in delivery of advice.
- Contributing to group knowledge and know-how initiatives.
Person Specification
- Have at least a 4-year university degree in law, economics, accounting or finance, ideally with a master’s degree in taxation
- Have at least 2 years’ experience in Luxembourg tax advisory and tax compliance, preferably in a law firm
- Must be fluent in written and spoken Spanish, English and French. Other languages are an asset
- Demonstrate good judgement and a good legal and commercial understanding of client’s particular needs
- Take a ‘hands on’ approach to managing own files and a broad case load
- Have a high degree of attention to detail
- Have strong problem-solving skills
- Be flexible and willing to undertake a wide variety of tasks
- Be a pro-active team player, who is also highly self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative
- Be able to build rapport with clients and develop an effective working relationship
- Be flexible and willing to go the extra mile
- Have excellent all round IT skills, MS Office including Excel and Word
