This position is based in Luxembourg and reports directly to the Conducting Officer in charge of Portfolio Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse, review and validate investment proposals of illiquid assets (Private Equity/Private Credit/Real Estate) ensuring transactions align with the fund’s investment profile, fund documentation (LPA/PPM), and regulatory requirements (e.g., CSSF 18/698).
  • Monitor investment compliance by setting up and reviewing investment restriction rules, including internal triggers.
  • Conduct pre-investment due diligence of target alternative investments (review of investment documentation, decision-making, communication with relevant counterparts and record retention).
  • Accompany investments over their life cycle: liquidity management, as well as monitoring their existence and performance.
  • Oversee and coordinate the investment process, ensuring necessary documentation is collected and reviewed before payments by the relevant counterparts.
  • Organise Investment Committee (IC) meetings, review and present strategic analyses and ensure alignment with the fund’s objectives.
  • Review static data points of portfolio companies, financial information, and valuation data quarterly at the target fund level to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Take part in initial assessments of fund setups, ensuring alignment with fund objectives and compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 2–3+ years) in investment analysis, fund operations, or portfolio management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in German, French, or Spanish considered an asset. Ability to present complex topics clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of valuation models applicable to Private Equity (PE), Venture Capital (VC), and Fund of Funds (FoF) assets.
  • Ability to read, synthesise, and critically analyse complex legal documentation related to fund operations and investments.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making. Ability to navigate complex financial markets and understand emerging products and trends.
