MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement the OCB associative strategy with the OCB Board and OCB group association teams
- Contribute to the annual action plan and budget and monitor delivery against priorities
- Translate governance priorities into associative projects that are connected to operational reality
- Ensure decisions and key information from governance are shared and understood in programmes
- Act as interface between Board, management, Operations and association members to enable two-way communication
- Support and follow up associative projects across programmes and ensure continuity of initiatives
- Coach and support associative focal points and networks in countries of operation and keep stakeholder mapping updated
- Guide the design of project documentation, objectives, action plans and budgets for associative initiatives
- Promote ownership of associative life by Operations at project, coordination and HQ levels
- Coordinate the Field Associative Debates process within OCB and support project teams when needed
- Follow the motions cycle and coordinate with the Motions Committee through the OCB Board representative
- Strengthen cross learning and visibility of initiatives across programmes and associative platforms including the Souk
- Plan and deliver member engagement activities such as webinars, workshops and debates
- Lead or co lead the content and preparation of key annual events including OCB Gathering, MSF Belgium General Assembly and the Association Representatives Workshop
- Develop and maintain attractive resources and tools for Association Representatives and online participation
- Represent OCB on relevant networks and working groups including the Souk Editorial Committee
- Monitor activities, manage suppliers and report on budget and expenses linked to associative activities
- Manage interns and volunteers and coordinate short term contracts and external providers when relevant
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- 3 to 5 years of MSF international coordination experience including monitoring and analysis of project outcomes is mandatory
- Practical experience with associative activities in countries of operation such as debates, workshops or associative focal point roles is mandatory
- Experience with participatory leadership and facilitation techniques is mandatory
- Experience as Project Coordinator or Country Coordinator is an asset
- Involvement in associative processes, motions, governance platforms or associative networks is an asset

- Commitment to MSF principles and to MSF associative identity
- Strong understanding of MSF operations and the links between HQ and countries of operation
- Networking and relationship building across cultures and seniority levels
- Planning and organising with ability to manage multiple dossiers, timelines and stakeholders
- Clear communication, synthesis and facilitation skills
- Initiative and ability to work autonomously in a non-hierarchical environment
- Teamwork and cooperation, with ability to work as a close working pair
Languages
- Proficiency in English and French, both written & spoken is mandatory
- Proficiency in Arabic, Portuguese or Spanish is a strong asset
- Any additional language supporting engagement with members worldwide is an asset
Other
- Willingness and availability to travel regularly, including to countries of operation
- Ability and willingness to work outside standard office hours during peak associative periods
